My Story

Hello, my name is Pauline White. I have been a resident of Ingersoll since 2005 where I chose to raise my family and plan for my future. For the 2022 municipal election, I have put my name forward for a councillor position. I did this because I believe that I would be an effective asset on town council and would use my range of experience to do so. I feel a government should have equal representation to the people it serves. I will be honest when making decisions based on a deep sense of fairness with transparency for the greater good, without personal judgment. I want to be your voice. I want to work with council to move Ingersoll forward in success and opportunities.

During my career in community services, I have had achievements in leading teams, supervising, and mentoring staff, volunteers, and community partners. I worked for eighteen years as a Police Dispatcher and a 9-1-1 Operator. This has taught me how to see the “big picture” in any situation that arises through an empathetic and creative lens. I believe these experiences will help me as a councillor when representing all the demographics that Ingersoll has.

I provide a leadership style that empowers people to take accountability for their work and to feel good about their accomplishments. I lead with high standards and integrity; with proven success in building long-lasting and trusting relationships with residents, partners and stakeholders. In this role, I will attain success by meeting the needs of families, youth, adults, and seniors of the town. With my experience and determination, I would like to see the Town of Ingersoll as a place where community engagement thrives; with responsible leadership through sound fiscal management.

I have spent my time volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and for a Mental Health Support Line. I have also organized community women’s hockey and ball hockey teams. I place heavy importance on working as a team player with everyone. This includes staff and most importantly you - the taxpayers and citizens of this town!

This vote is your chance to have your voice heard and have like-minded people working to achieve the overall mission and values set by the Town of Ingersoll. On October 24th vote for Pauline White for a position on town council. I will work hard to make sure everyone’s voices are heard.

Platfom

Platform

Going into this election I don’t address specific platform goals. However, if elected I will prioritize the Strategic Plan and Community Services Master Plan created this April 2022. The Master Plan identifies needs related to parks, recreation, and culture services and facilities in Ingersoll and identifies key strategies to meet these needs. There is a focus on social, economic, and environmental priorities that were designed to enrich the lives of all residents. This ten-year framework sets out goals for the town to achieve, and with my support, I will work with the council and staff to make sure we are reaching all targets and pillars.

To be candid, I think I find myself in the same boat as many throughout the last two years with understanding struggles related to COVID-19, health care, and social stressors. If elected as a councillor I would like to work to improve greater access to Mental Health resources and Health Care here in Ingersoll.

Honest + Fair

Honesty and fairness are two qualities that I pride myself in. There is no curtain to hide
behind with me. I will listen without judgment and practice empathy in all matters. I will
be transparent in decisions making and fair during the process.

Hardworking

I am and have always been a hard worker. Multi-tasking is one of my greatest assets. I
have lived the shiftwork lifestyle while balancing my parental duties and raising children
involved in extracurriculars while enjoying my own. Hard work and dedication don’t deter
me. It does the complete opposite, it inspires me.

A Voice For Community Members

Last year if you would have told me, “Pauline you will run for town council next year” I
wouldn’t have believed you. I never pictured myself as a politician. That is
why I believe wholeheartedly that I will be a councilor that is a candid voice for the
community. I sincerely care about the issues people are experiencing and want to keep
moving Ingersoll onward.
